UNIFARM Research Centre

Unifarm is a Contract Research Organization (CRO) established to conduct and manage clinical studies on medicines, medical devices and food supplement products, operating in accordance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and in full compliance with the Italian Ministerial Degree DM 15.11.2011.

Unifarm was founded in 2002 thanks to a partnership between the University of Catania and some private companies. Its headquarters is located in Catania, but operates at a national level.

OUR STRENGTH

Unifarm supports companies from project management to the conduction of preclinical and clinical trials, from phase I to phase IV, including interventional and observational studies, as well as Post-Authorisation Safety Studies (PASS).

Thanks to a long experience derived from Unifarm’s cooperation with Universities, hospitals and scientific societies, Unifarm is also able to manage non-profit studies.

Unifarm is the ideal partner for product development, also thanks to the partnership with SCF (a consultant agency specialized in regulatory affairs, market access) and Latis srl (Unifarm’s CRO partner).

CERTIFICATION & ACCREDITATION

Unifarm is self-certified as Contract Research Organization (CRO) at Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), in compliance with the Italian Ministerial Degree DM 15/11/2011.

Unifarm is certified by the Provincial Health Service of Catania according to Italian Ministerial Decree DM 19/03/1998 and it is included in the Registry of private laboratories of the National Monitoring Centre for Clinical Trials (OsSC) with Medicines.

Unifarm is self-certified as bioanalytical laboratory at AIFA, in compliance with the requirements of the Determination n. 809/2015 19/06/2015 regarding phase I clinical trials.

Unifarm is certified as a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) laboratory by the Italian Ministry of Health and according to the Legislative Decree D.L. 02/03/2007, n. 50 – Directive 2004/9/EC for pharmacokinetics and metabolism studies; analytical part only.
